It sort of reminded me of Daiso (see review here) but without the Japanese vibe. I forgot to check the store hours but guess they are open evenings and weekends.
Last weekend we had a late snack at McDonald's on Salem al Mubarak Street (next to Johnny Rockets) and I saw this shop next to it called City Max. It seemed to be chocked full of fun stuff so I went inside. Its a bargain shop with a range of trinkets, knick knacks and every day household supplies. There are dishes and cups, storage bins and hair clips, miniature lamps and prayer beads, istakana sets, teapots, clocks, bags, socks, markers, toys and much more. I am always looking out for places that have crafting supplies or other cool stuff but this is mostly household items.
