My luck was in and we found an awesome crafting basement shop on Beirut Street just next to the Fire Station. I'm not really a crafty mom but this shop was simply too much fun to pass up. It's an emporium of crafting with ribbons, buttons, felt, baskets, boxes, fake flowers, picture frames, baby announcements and birthday party decorations, fabrics, pom poms, tissue paper, pipe cleaners, decorations and much more.
I bought felt, ribbons, pine cones, boxes and other stuff to make decorations for the holidays. I also bought stuff to create craft to-do bags for the kids and hopefully for a craft bag swap someday. Unfortunately there is not much for crochet or knitting (I found another shop for that and will post more on it later). The reasonable prices make this place a great destination for any moms into crafting projects. There are no signs or even a name on the shop but if you can find the Fire Station in Hawally on Beirut Street, you can definitely find this shop. Here are Map and directions to help out.
And don't forget to sign up for our mailing list for more resources on crafting, crochet and knitting in Kuwait.
(Thanks Ghada for the tips, information and April for the map and directions.)
