Thanks to finding popsicle sticks at the Teacher's Cellar, we were able to have popsicle crafting fun over the weekend. I wanted to try and make specific crafts but the girls wanted to create their own ideas so it turned into a bit of popsicle stick free play.
I started to get a bit frustrated. Sometimes I have a very specific idea in my head of where I want them to go and the project to complete but they just want to play. So I had to stop myself and say, ma laish' and just go with the flow.
Kindergirl really got into it and made three or four different things - none of which I had imagined and so it was a great opportunity to let her run with her imagination. Meanwhile our two year old matched the sticks color by color for a bit before moving on to trying to paint the dog's nails white with glue.
