Also, what intrigued me more was the idea of considering their 'primary need' - is there a primary need that drives behavior? I wonder. Again I think its probably an ever shifting stream of needs. Sometimes they need to be heard, sometimes they need attention, etc.
Maybe I'm wrong but I think this is too simplistic and stylized and fails to really be helpful in terms of understanding our children and being able to respond to them effectively. That said, if all the questions were combined under the 'ask yourself' section, then that might be useful.
Has anyone here read The Child Whisperer and what did you think? I would love to heat what other moms in Kuwait think.
