I am completely heartbroken by the stripping of these trees along the Corniche near our favorite playgrounds/creek. It seems the Public Authority for Agricultural and Fish Resources is responsible for the maintenance of the trees/parks/gardens etc but I have not been able to find out why they cut them back so completely or if they plan to do this to shade trees around all of the parks and green spaces of Kuwait.
I know that pruning trees is necessary but this seems to me to be exceptionally aggressive pruning and at the absolute wrong time of the year given our desperate need in Kuwait for green spaces and shade trees! But I am not an expert in park maintenance or tree care so if any moms know why this is done now or other information, I would appreciate it. Thanks!
