take some photos and share. There are actually several souqs all located next to each other, with the
fabric souq and Souq Safat back to back (see map.)
Inside you can find pretty much anything you need for sewing including materials for clothes, curtains and drapes, sofas and chairs as well as tailor materials including buttons, ribbons, tassels, lace, felt, glitter, beads, decorations and more.
Most shops are open morning and afternoons, except Friday mornings. Take your time though and visit
several shops to get a good price and also choose from among a wide selection of fabrics. Upstairs you
can find tailors but the shop you are buying the fabric from can also arrange for a tailor to come to your
home to measure the furniture or windows if you are having curtains or upholstery made.
On the side near the parking of the fabric /textile souq is also a shop called Crystal House with lots of
crystals and a bit of yarn. If you pass through the fabric souq to the opposite side, you can find Souq
Safat which has more fabric shops as well as tailor shops with materials for sewing and crafting.
